'So thankful for seventeen years with my gorgeous, fiery, intrepid Lottie. We had to part last week. Her going was tender and dignified, full of cherishing. There are moments and images from that experience that I will never forget. I thought this grief for my lovely girl would be dismal, and so it is, but it's shot through with light because of extraordinary care and aftercare from Mark, Rebecca and Shelley. I'm upheld by the grace of it.'
