Oscar

Oscar, our handsome , gentle yet sometimes mischievous ‘Lassie’ collie had a wonderful long life, enjoying walks in the countryside around Empingham; latterly’pottering’ in the garden. He was 14 years old when we had to say goodbye to him.
However, if we hadn’t met Mark & Rebecca 3 years ago he would not have enjoyed his senior years as much as he did. He suffered from arthritis in his spine & we thought he hadn’t long to live. Mark suggested Canine Bowen Technique with Rebecca. After every monthly visit Oscar was much freer in his movement & clearly much more comfortable. Much to Rebecca’s amusement he always ‘told’ her exactly where he wanted to be & which part of his body needed attention!! A massive thank you to Rebecca for helping Oscar enjoy his senior years.
Eventually it became clear that he was no longer enjoying life , struggling with getting up etc. We can’t thank Mark enough for going beyond the call of duty, coming to our garden on a Saturday evening , where he,with the uttermost sensitivity, put Oscar to sleep. Our abiding memory is of Oscar finally at peace .
