Clara

Clara was with us for 16 years! She had 26 beautiful puppies with the help of Sebastian who was a doting father. When she was young she used to love running through undergrowth, sometimes she would be gone so long that her daughter Grace would come out of the bushes and run around waiting for her Mum to reappear!

Clara was very gentle, she was a wonderful Mummy dog, she cared for her puppies without any help and even would worry when she heard human babies crying. She loved running and many a dog would get involved in her zest for life by running along behind her in her tail winds.

She was a little monkey when she was a puppy and pulled up the whole of my stair carpet! But as she grew she was a great companion and followed me around everywhere. I would often fall over her when I was coming out of the toilet.

My love for Clara was strong and she repayed it in buckets. She helped me train her daughter and showed the ropes to all the other dogs that we have taken into our home to help, board and rehome.

She was truly one in a million and I always called her the “best Mummy dog in the world” and, quite frankly, she was.

We will always miss you Clarabelle, but we are richer having had you in our lives.
